He stages a fight against the corrupt property developers who plan to build a shopping mall in place of Florian’s architectural opus magnum: the UFO building in Kyiv.

The art of making the Lanzhou Waterwheel was all but lost in the 21st century, until Duan Xu’s 20th descendent Duan Yicun took it upon himself to study and learn the craft. Now 74 years old, Duan Yicun finds the waterwheel market chaotic and competitive. Duan Yicun looks to the future, as the Yellow River has yet another role to play in the community of Lanzhou and China abroad.

The documentary traces the fundamental historical steps that led Cosimo I De Medici to establish the Medici Fortress on the hill of San Donato in Arezzo. It shows, in an epic and evocative key, how this mighty Renaissance fortification was able to dominate the entire city of Arezzo. Thanks to the reading of the archaeological remains and the places recently returned to light, the Medicean Fortress of Arezzo provides elements and clues that go well beyond the mere Renaissance construction story. It is an investigation of the origins and identity of the millennial history of the city of Arezzo.

Casa dos Arcos

In sequences filmed from a near-zenith point of view, nocturnal situations are shown where passers-by and vehicles flow harmoniously and rhythmically. The frames are configured with high tonal contrast and build as photographs but in movement. That's where "Civitas" appears: a state of emptiness, silence, and introspection of individuals trying to inhabit the big capitalist cities.
